FACEBOOK Fan page!

Ok if you haven't noticed, I am horrible at blogging.   What I do do often is update my facebook page.  You DO NOT have to have a facebook account to view it.  So, click on the title of this post and it will take you straight there!  That is updated regularly.  Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!

Derion Woods

A few months ago Derion contacted me.  She was applying for America's Next Top Model and needed some photos done.  She also wanted to do a fashion type shoot while we were at it.  She told me that she had never modeled and that she was a total tomboy and didn't think she could pull off being girlie.  Man was she wrong!  She was super fun to shoot and literally five minutes into it I felt like I was photographing a seasoned model.  Great job girlie ;)  I can't wait to watch you on the show not only are you model material but your personality is hilarious!  They'd be dumb not to beg you to be on the show. Eric Davis

Remember this name & face.  This is Eric Davis he is an actor that I had the pleasure of meeting via good ol Facebook when he contacted me for some updated shots a couple of months ago.  Eric has the best personality and he resembles everyone from Kobe Bryant and a young Louis Gossett Jr. to Tupac. In fact he is auditioning for the role of Tupa in an upcoming Universal Pictures movie today!  Good luck Eric!  He is such a nice guy and I wish him nothing but the best and I appreciate him wanting me to take his picture ;) as always click on the title to see more!

Mike & Kiotto are married!!!!  YAAAY!  When I first met Mike & Kiotto I really liked them. Then I got to know them and just love them.  I really felt like I was photographing long time friends.  They even thanked me in their speech!  That was so cool and it made me feel amazing.  Thank you guys I loooved being able to capture the most important day of your lives and I look forward to watching you go through your wonderful journey together.  May god always keep you blessed with good health, surround you with good friends & family, lots of love, and lots of babies!!!!!!!!!!!

Shooting with Beckstead

Feb 24th, 2011 my brother and I head to Vegas for WPPI and to shoot with David Beckstead.  I LOOOVE Beckstead's photography.  There are a couple of photographers that differ from the rest and are not "commercial" and David is one of those photographers.  I highly recommend his workshops he taught us so much and actually answered our questions.  So many now just give you a pep talk and that's about it. So anyways, he took us to a ghost town just outside of Vegas and taught me to avoid the obvious and dig deeper.  I didn't photograph anything I normally would have and that was fantastic!  Here are a few of the images I snapped and if you want to see more just click on the title!

Va Va Voom

Vegas & Boudoirs seem to go hand in hand ;)
Here are a few I did of Miss K

Monty & Goldie are getting married!

I had the pleasure of meeting Goldie last year through a mutual friend and I just thought she was a sweetheart.  Luckily she liked me too and booked me for her wedding.  She actually booked me last April and wanted to wait on the engagement session until the wedding got closer.  Well, the wedding is in April so we thought this would be a good time to do it.  I'm really looking forward to capturing their special day.  Not to mention her dress is AMAZING and she is such a beautiful girl.  And Monty, I felt like I've known him forever.  Once again, congratulations you two I can't wait and thank you for choosing me to do this for you!

J.J.

A few months ago Marina contacted me to do her sons portraits.  She lives in Italy but was going to be here  visiting.  Her little boy J.J. is gorgeous and man was he a busy bee.  He was all over the park but we still managed to get some great ones of him buzzing around

Tony
On the 12th of February I had the honor of photographing three incredible young men.  They're all seniors at the same school & wanted to do their sessions together.  I have to admit that at first I wasn't so sure about that but it turned out to be lots of fun.  Here are a few of each boy & as always click on the title for more from this session.

Gabrielle~Class of 2011

I LOOOOVE senior sessions (which is a good thing because I've got lots coming up).  This is the GORGEOUS Gabrielle!  She is a senior in high school, dancer, singer, cheerleader, dance teacher, and I'm sure many more things I'm leaving out.  Her shoot was lots of fun and she was soooo easy to work with (obviously).  Here are a few shots of the many that I loved from her session.  Thanks to Gabrie and her wonderful mom for asking me to do these.  Wanna see more?  Click on the title!

Little Red Riding Hood

When I saw the movie trailer for Little Red Riding Hood I instantly felt like I had to do a shoot incorporating snow and a red cape.  I also knew that Brooke was the only one I wanted to model for it.  Luckily she was super excited and wanted to do it!  I kept an eye on the weather report and it showed nothing but sun for weeks urgh!  Then last week I checked the 10 day and it showed snow showers for Monday and then back to sun so I knew it had to be done on Tuesday.  So, we pull it all together and head up the mountain only to find NO SNOW!  It was bare bare bare.  We could see the snow in the distance so we kept driving up.  I was starting to get a little sad (because I really wanted the snow in there)  when we finally got up high enough to hit some snow.  All excited we jump out of the car and start getting Brooke ready.  As I'm scoping out the spot I'm noticing the trees are higher up.  We were NOT prepared to hike in the snow.  I thought for sure we'd hit snow at the bottom somewhere and we'd be able to pull over and shoot away not drive as high as we could all the way up a freakin mountain.  I don't have snow gear I'm a warm weather girl.  I'm in thin cargo pants and a low cut top with a thin hoodie.  Wth was I thinking?  Nicole was wearing fancy boots and a tshirt.  She then pulls out her sweater that is short sleeved.  Um ya kinda pointless lol we were busting up at that (luckily Mark left his pea coat in the car so she put that on) and Nadine, Brookes mom, had on tennis shoes with a cute little jumper.  Total warm weather city folk.  OMGosh was it ever freezing!  Regardless, we proceed to shoot.  Every so often the wind would hit and it felt as if we were going to freeze to death and the sound it makes that high up is creepy.  I didn't know what it was the first time it hit us.  I actually thought it was an earthquake.   And there were no cabins up that high :)  I would have liked one as a backdrop.  A wolf would have been nice to have too.  That's not too much to ask for is it?  lol anyways, Brooke was such a trooper I know she was dying but you couldn't tell and she didn't want to go sit in the car and take a break when I offered....hard little worker ;)   My hands were so numb that I couldn't change my memory card.  After about 45 minutes I knew Brooke was dying so I decided to call it a day.  We jumped in the car and turned up the heat FULL BLAST.  Our toes and fingers were on fire.  We had the heater on for a good 20 minutes when we finally started to warm up.  It was a yucky feeling my hands felt like they were being stabbed by a hot knife.  Anyways, the shoot turned out great I got some images that I just love and Brooke agreed to try it again if we get another good snowfall in the local mountains.  I really really want the forest look.  And the cabin with the wolf lol.  My brother has a huge german shepard, would that be good enough?  Or I guess I could photo shop one in lol JK that would be no fun.  So for now, here are a few of my faves and as always to see more click on the title ;)

Cambria's Senior Session

I just looooooove these photos.  I'm so excited people are getting out and having fun with their senior portraits.  Seniors are so full of life and I think that sticking them in a studio with boring backgrounds is sad.  The world is so colorful and fun!  We went to surf city U.S.A. to do these and I just had a blast, I'm hoping Cambria feels the same way and loves her photos!!!!!!  Go class of 2011!
