New Look

You might have noticed that weird things are happening on my website.   Pages are disappearing my client slideshows are not there etc etc well don't worry you're not going crazy.  I am working on my site and since I'm not a computer wiz things are happening that are not supposed to be happening.  Please be patient with me I'm on it! I'm excited about the new look new pictures and new songs.   I have not gotten rid of my client slideshows it's just taking lots of time to load them all up.  I have added a Boudoir section so I'm working on the pictures to put there.  Keep checking it should be done by the end of next week!!  Thanks for your interest in my photography and I can't wait to get your feed back on the new look.  Ciao.

Boudoir

I've been getting lost of calls for Boudoir lately and this is one of my faves.  I can't mention her name just yet because she is surprising her husband for their first anniversary in November but she was lots of fun.  First of all because we've been emailing back and forth for a while and I really felt like she was a friend by the time her shoot came along and second because she had lots of fun outfits.  A few where 50s inspired and she even had her done in a five finger wave.  She looked great and I'm sure her husband will LOVE them!  I will post more after her hubby gets to see them:)

October 12th.  Well, it's not just any day for me.  I have dated 3 boys who were born on this day. Cameron, I can't remember what his last name was we dated briefly, Billy Zumbrun, who is now a professional boxer I also dated him briefly, and James Harper, whom I dated on and off for 2 1/2 years and was the love of my life (until I met the real love of my life Markie poo) James passed away tragically a few years ago :(  Now not only did I date 3 boys who share this birthday, but I was married on October 12th 1997.  After exactly 4 years of marriage, Mark and I had Miss Alexa on October 12th, 2001.  How bizarre is this?  I'm curious to see what else significant happens on this day.  As for this year, not much we celebrated Alexas birthday yesterday and went to my little cousin, Arias, bday party today.  I can't believe I've been married for 11 years!!  I feel like we just got married.  How time flies!!

I often get such beautiful emails from people and I save them and read them over and over again. I received this one from Star yesterday and I just wanted to share it with you all.  Stuff like this really makes my day and makes me feel great.  I love the people that my camera has brought into my life.  Thanks to everyone for your encouragement and kind words.  People often say to me "oh yeah I saw that on your blog" or "great blog pics" and I'm surprised at how many people really do come to my blog.  I'm flattered.  Please leave comments so that I know you were here.  Sometimes I feel like no one is looking at it and I'm wasting my time.  Ok drama blog entry right?  :)

On Friday October 3rd I shot Star & Andrews wedding.   I have been looking forward to this one since they booked me back in Jan of last year.  The couple lives in San Francisco and the wedding was at The Surf and Sand Hotel in Laguna Beach.  I went up to San Fran in July and did their engagement shoot and just had a blast.  Here are some pictures from their amazing wedding.  Doesn't Star just look awesome? Mary & Daniels Las Vegas Wedding

On Sunday, Sept 28th  I got to go to my fave little city to do my fave little thing, shoot a wedding.  This was the perfect wedding for me because I love shooting weddings and I just LOVE Las Vegas.  And it was at The Mandalay Bay.  I had it all planned out.  We were going to go to the Moorea Beach Club (Mandalay Bay Pool check out the virtual tour it's HOT) to do the bride & groom shoot and then we would sneak out to the strip for a quick strip pic (wow tongue twister) but it didn't work out that way.  Daniel was done after the ceremony & wanted to go to the reception & relax.  I tried and tried but the answer stayed no.  We took some inside the hotel but I wanted to go outside.  I was bummed because there was soooo much drama in the sky with a summer storm brewing & the pics would have been amazing but I didn't want to make anyone upset so I sucked it up and went with the flow against my better judgement.  The couple had The Vista Suite (take the virtual tour online) so I knew I would be able to get some incredible strip pics but nope.  Actually, I did get them just without the couple :)  About an hour into the reception Daniel came up to me and said "lets do this" he just needed a few drinks and to relax.  Unfortunately they didn't want to go outside and the sun was already down at this point but we did get some really steamy fun pics.  Of course I wanted to take great photos for me but I now consider Mary a friend and I really wanted her to have fantastic wedding pics.  After all The Mandalay Bay provides a photographer with their wedding packages and they hired me on top of that.  Well it all worked out and I can rest assured knowing that they got what they wanted even if they didn't know it at the time.  :)  I have added a little teaser of their photos, click on them for a larger view.  Enjoy and thanks to Mary & Daniel I had a blast.

Art Las Vegas style

Back in July I went to Vegas for 3 days and of course where I go my camera goes.  We were walking in the Forum when I spotted this add (hello it jumps out at you).  I loved all the black surrounding it and how the reflection was so reflective of the poster. ( I was trying to be funny there).  Ok so as cheesy as this sounds this really was beautiful to me in an artistic way.  Yes it didn't hurt that he is just a god!

48 & fabulous!!

Last week I shot a boudoir session for a 48 year old lady who wanted to gift them to her husband for his 50th bday.  What an awesome gift and hello does she look 48?  There was NO photoshop used here.  She emailed him the slideshow while he was at work and he apparently almost had a heart attack.  I'm guessing he went home for his lunch break!!

My new brochures are done!!! YEAH!!

I have been designing my brochures all week and have tried many different pictures and layouts but I think I finally got it. The brides name is Morgan and I just loved her.  She was down to do anything. Her reception was at her cousins house which was just beautiful and he had the coolest dinning room complete with a Swarovski Crystal Chandelier and deep red velvet drapes.  I asked her to do some pics on the table and she was all for it.  I wish all brides were like her.  It didn't hurt that she was beautiful either :) This is the inside fold of my brochure.  You can click on it to see the images enlarged.  Ya like?

Tony & Cynthias Wedding in Wrightwood.

Saturday I shot the most colorful wedding ever.  Tony and Cynthia were married in Wrightwood Ca. and their colors were green, orange, hotpink, and red.  I loved it.   It reflected their personalities perfectly.  Cynthia was a larger than life bride.  She has an infectious smile and made my job a breeze.  Congratulations you two.  Here are some of my faves.

Free to Succeed Tour-Jasmine Star

Tonight my brother &  I went to the "Free to Succeed Tour" in L.A.  We primarily went to see David Jay who we both really admire and he was great but I fell in love with the wonderful personality of Mrs. Jasmine Star.  She was so down to earth and REAL.  I have for months now been addicted to the blog of another photographer I really love named Scarlett and for some reason the whole time Jasmine spoke I kept thinking to myself  "she reminds me so much of Scarlett"  When I got home I went straight to Jasmines blog to leave her a message and wouldn't you know it the last person to leave her a comment was Scarlett.  I guess they know eachother! How funny is that?

My girls!

Last week Mark and I took the girls up to Big Bear.  Of course I had my camera and could not resist taking pics of them playing in the water.  They are my favorite little models!!

Boudoir

My business has brought some really wonderful people my way and one such special person is Mary.  She is my Las Vegas bride and she is just such a great girl.  She wanted to give her fiance a Boudoir picture of herself on their wedding day.  What a great idea.  What man wouldn't love that?  Here is one of my very favorite pics.  I did get permission from her to show these :)
